J&K Karate Stars Impress at 10th North India Championship

Jammu and Kashmir Karate players delivered an impressive performance at the 10th North India Karate Championship, organised by the Kyorin Shotokan Karate Do Association of India and hosted by the Amateur Karate Do Foundation Punjab at Khalsa College, Amritsar, on January 10 and 11.


The J&K contingent won several medals across different age and weight categories, highlighting the growing strength of karate in the Union Territory. Gold medals were won by Ayaan Wani, Rumais Khursheed, Ananay Sharma, Varun Thakur, Arish Chandan, Anmolik Sudan and Arish Chandan, who showcased excellent technique and discipline on the mat.


Silver medals were secured by Rudraksh Aggarwal, Haridyansh Aggarwal, Akarshit Singh, Arav Suryavanshi, Arul Raina, Aavya Thakur, Naksh Thakur and Anami Gupta, reflecting strong competitive spirit and consistent performance.


Bronze medal winners included Divyansh Kundal, Shiven Singh, Piyush Thakur, Raghu Bharat, Faizan Bhat, Rahul Kumar, Sachika Verma, Madhvi Sharma, Girish Singh, Tarisha Verma, Bhavab Singh, Arav Sharma, Taksh Anotra, Kanish Verma, Shivanshu Sharma and Mohmad Kamran.
