J&K Judo team leaves for Haryana, to participate in Khelo India Youth Games

A contingent of 12-member Judo team of Jammu and Kashmir  left for participation in the Khelo India Youth Games  (KIYG) to be held at Panchkula Haryana from June 08 to June 13, 2022.

As per the official a 12 member Judo team left for Haryana to represent J&K in Khelo India Youth Games to be played at Haryana.The  team include Akshay Sharma, Arnav Gupta, Varun Sharma, Eshan Saini, Rajat Singh Chib, Mithali Kotwal, Harshita Singh, Suhani Kiran, Tazeem Fayaz and Tamleek Shah.
The team is accompanied by coach, Ritika Slathia of J&K Sports Council and Manager, Manish Chatwal.

On the occasion at the time of team’s departure senior vice-president Judo Association of J&K, Vikas Gupta, senior Judo coaches, Suran Bhan Singh and Arshi Nad were present also.

Pertinent to mention, Khelo India  Youth Games 21 are expected to witness representation from J&K in 15 games which include Gatka, Thangta, Badminton, Wrestling, Gymnastics, Shooting, Athletics, Swimming, Mallakhamb, Judo, Boxing, Handball, cycling, Archery and Kalaripayattu.
