Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) has emerged as the overall champions in girls category in Sub- junior National Curling Championship 2021-22 held at Ice-Skating Rink,Gulmarg.
The championship, which started last week from March 11, saw Andhra Pradesh emerging as overall champions in Boys category.
A total of 170 players including boys and girls in sub junior U14 age category from 12 States and Union Territories participated in the championship to showcase their talent.
During the closing ceremony of the championship, Chief Executive Officer, Curling Federation of India, Mohammad Arshad announced the dates for the upcoming international India Open Curling Championship.
As per the announcement, the international championship shall be held next year from January 13 to January 18th.
Besides, it was also revealed that National level Championships shall be held next year before the international event from January 03 to January 08 at Gulmarg.
According to the Curling Federation of India, the federation in the first of its kind is hosting the International India Open Curling Championship, in which more than 300 foreign Curlers are expected to participate from across the world.
