J&K Dragon Boat Warriors Flagged Off for National Glory

The Jammu & Kashmir Water Sports Kayaking and Canoeing Association today flagged off a contingent of 30 players for participation in the 14th Dragon  Boat National Championship, scheduled to be held from January 6 to 9 at Lower Lake, Bhopal. The championship is being organized by Indian Kayaking and Canoeing Association (IKCA).


The J&K Dragon Boat team was flagged off by Bilquis Mir, Jury Member Olympics Kayaking & Canoeing and International Athlete of Water Sports. She congratulated the players on their selection and encouraged them to compete with confidence, unity and discipline to bring laurels to Jammu & Kashmir.
Dr Rafiq ul Din, Vice President, J&K Water Sports Kayaking and Canoeing Association, was also present during the flag-off ceremony and extended best wishes to the team. He highlighted the Association’s commitment to promoting water sports and creating opportunities for young talent across the Union Territory.


The occasion witnessed emotional moments as parents expressed pride and happiness on seeing their sons and daughters represent Jammu & Kashmir at the national level. They expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Association for providing a platform that enables young athletes to showcase their talent on a national stage.
