Name of the Posts: Promoting and Sponsoring Research,
Scientific Studies and Surveys Crafting collective scientific temperament, creating curiosity-driven knowledge among youth, and bridging the gulf between science and daily life is critical for the stability of developing nations.
Notably, with the onset of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (FTR)—which is purely based on the fascinating scientific discoveries and disruptive engineering; uplifting the scope of scientific knowledge is no more an option, but an obligation on academic, scientists, engineers, innovators, and policy makers. With this motive, the JK Science Technology and Innovation Council from Union Territory (UT) of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) is inviting project proposals under the scheme titled: “Sponsored Research and Extension Program.”
This scheme is aimed at Promoting and Sponsoring Research, Scientific Studies and Surveys in various R&D and Technical Institutes of the UT. Identified Areas for R&D Projects Sponsored Scientific/Research Projects in any branch/field of Science &Technology.
Total financial cost of the project should not exceed Rs. 10.00 lakhs
Duration: Two years application Deadline: 25th November 2020 Short-term Survey/Study on Local Specific Areas of J&K with recommendations. Total financial cost of study/survey should not exceed Rs.3.0 lakhs Duration:One year Application Deadline: 25th November 2020
Eligibility: Faculty/Scientists in Basic Science/or Engineering backgrounds from R&D Centers and Technical Institutes of the UT of J&K having adequate infrastructure and facilities to carry out the proposed Research/Survey work.
The Principal Investigators PI(s) should have relevant experience in the chosen areas/topics with field knowledge.
Project Submission: Two hard copies of the project proposal/survey along with bio-data of PI(s) and endorsement from the Heads of institution should be submitted in the JK Science Technology & Innovation Council office at Tawanie Ghar, SDA Colony, Bemina Srinagar 190008 OR 5 B/C Hospital Road, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu Tawi 180004.
Application received without the documents mentioned above /or with incomplete information will not be entertained J&K Science Technology & Innovation Council Department of Science and Technology
