J&K Day celebrated at India International Trade Fair | Depicts rich heritage of all the three regions of the State

Jammu and Kashmir day was celebrated yesterday at India International Trade Fair 2018 at Pragati Maidan.

Advisor to J&K Governor, Kewal Kumar Sharma inaugurated the event.

The main attraction of the State day was cultural programme depicting rich heritage of all the three regions of the State presented by the Artists of J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages.

In his address, Advisor Sharma praised the richness of diverse tradition and cultural heritage of the state that attracted thousands of people.  He also laid stress on promoting folk music, dances, art and craft of the State which is a unique caricature of the rich cultural heritage of the State.

He also appreciated the stall holders who displayed their commodities and showcased their talent and skill of indigenous Art and Craft of the State having worldwide recognition.

After the cultural programme, the Advisor inspected the   different stalls of the State which are being thronged by thousands of people.

Principal Resident Commissioner Dheeraj Gupta, Director Handicrafts, Director Handloom, and other senior Officers of the State were also present on the occasion.
