J&K Budget Session likely to be held in first week of Feb

The first budget session of the Union Territory (UT) of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) is most likely to be held in the first week of February, as discussions with all relevant stakeholders regarding the session have been concluded.
“The training of all the newly elected first-time MLAs has been completed, and talks with all concerned stakeholders have also been finalized,” said Speaker AR Rather. “We are fully prepared to hold the budget session.”
While preparations for holding the session in Jammu are complete, the Speaker emphasized that the government will take the final decision on the exact dates for the session. “Once the government announces the dates, we will issue the session’s calendar,” Rather added.
Sources have indicated that the first budget session of J&K UT is likely to take place by the end of the first week of February in Jammu.
A total of 51 first-time MLAs have been elected to the J&K Assembly. These newly elected representatives received training on how to participate in the budget session, including procedures for question hour, zero hour, submitting questions, and other aspects related to the session. The training was conducted over three days, from January 9 to January 11.
