J&K Ball Badminton Association conducts selection trials for Sub-Junior National Team

The J&K Ball Badminton Association, under the “My Youth My Pride” initiative of the J&K Sports Council, successfully conducted selection trials for the J&K Sub-Junior National Team. The trials took place on Saturday at Gindun Sports Stadium, Raj Bagh, Srinagar, in preparation for the 43rd Sub-Junior National Ball Badminton Championship for Boys & Girls 2024-25.

This national event is set to be held in Rohtak, Haryana, from September 25 to 29, 2024.
The selection process was carried out under the supervision of the J&K Sports Council. Key figures overseeing the trials included Reyaz Ahmad Khan, Incharge of Bemina Stadium, Srinagar, who served as an observer, and Ajaz Ahmad, Ground Incharge at Gindun Sports Stadium. They were supported by members of the J&K Ball Badminton Association, including Joint Secretary Mohsin Farooq and committee member Tabish Mustafa Bhat.

A total of 25 boys and 20 girls participated in the trials. After a thorough evaluation, 15 boys and 15 girls were selected to represent J&K in the national championship.
The selected players will undergo a residential coaching camp at Gindun Sports Stadium from August 26 to September 9, 2024. A final screening test by the J&K Sports Council is scheduled for September 17, 2024, at 1:00 PM at the same venue.

All selected players are required to report for the coaching camp and the screening test at the specified dates and times. Players must bring age proof certificates and two passport-size photographs.
