JAKFAS launches Digital Calendar 2025 highlighting ‘Digital J&K’ initiatives

Jammu and Kashmir Finance and Accounts Society (JAKFAS) on Tuesday launched the Digital Calendar 2025 unveiled by Fayaz Ahmad Lone, Director General Accounts and Treasuries, J&K.
The calendar was launched in the presence of Mahesh Das, Director General Codes; Mohammad Sultan Malik, Director General Budget; and Neeraj Gupta Bakshi, Director General, Local Fund Audit & Pensions J&K (joined virtually), alongside the President JAKFAS, Rashim Deepika. The event was attended by Director Finance(s), Joint Directors( FA/CAOs); Deputy Directors and other members of the JAKFAS with many officers participating virtually.

Themed around “Digital J&K,” the Calendar 2025 highlights the transformative digital initiatives undertaken by the Finance Department, Government of Jammu & Kashmir in particular, marking a milestone in integrating technology with governance. Tools such as e-Kuber, e-Gras, BEAMS, the Janbhagidari Portal, and the PROOF App are prominently featured alongside other initiatives, showcasing the government’s commitment to transparency, efficiency, and citizen-centric service delivery, according to a press release issued here.

In a special message featured in the calendar, the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Omar Abdullah commended JAKFAS for their visionary effort in highlighting the essence of Digital J&K through this initiative and urged all to embrace technology as a powerful tool to create a brighter, more efficient and progressive Jammu and Kashmir, the statement said.

Santosh D. Vaidya, Principal Secretary to the Government, Finance Department, said in his message that the launch of the JAKFAS Digital Calendar, dedicated to Digital J&K, is a testament to their commitment to promoting progressive governance. He applauded the JAKFAS for this creative initiative and urged everyone to support and leverage these reforms for a modern, inclusive, and efficient Jammu and Kashmir.
In his message, Fayaz Ahmad Lone, DGAT, applauded the JAKFAS for recognizing the power of digital transformation. He described the Digital Calendar as a brilliant step in celebrating these advancements and inspiring everyone to contribute to this remarkable journey.

Rashim Deepika, President JAKFAS, said, “The Digital Calendar is more than a tool for organizing schedules; it symbolizes our forward-thinking approach, sustainability, and a shared vision of modernizing how we manage time and resources. By going digital, we not only contribute to environmental conservation but also foster a culture of efficiency and accessibility among our members.”

The JAKFAS Digital Calendar 2025 underscores the Union Territory’s journey toward excellence in e-governance. It celebrates the administration’s commitment to innovation, reform, and participatory governance, setting a benchmark for public administration across the country. This marks a significant step forward in leveraging technology to streamline planning, organization, and service delivery for the year ahead, the statement said.

The event was also attended by Executive Members of JAKFAS, including Secretary General Body, Anil Dogra; Vice President (Kashmir) Rafiq Shah; Vice President (Jammu) Rahul Mahajan; General Secretary Mohd Akram Thakar; Publicity Secretary Tariq Malik; Finance Secretary, Dr Anand Thakur Sen; Cultural Secretary; Sonam Singh; Sports Secretary, Simarjeet Singh and Media In-charge Hitesh Choudhary, many of whom joined virtually.
