IRCTC offers 12-day Kashmir tour package from Kochuveli to Srinagar

IRCTC offers 12-day Kashmir tour package from Kochuveli to Srinagar

The IRCTC Tourism has come up with a 12-day tour package to the beautiful valley of Kashmir. Named as ‘Autumn in Kashmir Valley’ by the Indian Railways, the tour has been scheduled to kick-start on September 14, 2018. This package covers destinations such as Gulmarg, Sonmarg, Srinagar, Amritsar and so on. AC train facility will be provided to the passengers and they can select any of the three classes – deluxe, comfort and standard – in this package.

Train departure and itinerary
The train will leave from Kochuveli railway station in Kerala on September 14, and arrive at Jalandhar railway station in Punjab on September 17. Passengers bound for Kashmir will then leave for Amritsar by road to visit the Golden Temple, Wagah Border and Jallianwala Bagh. Then after, the passenger will return to Jalandhar by road after spending a day on sightseeing. The train will depart from Jalandhar on September 18 and reach Katra on September 19.

On reaching Srinagar, the passengers will be given a tour of the Mughal Gardens on September 20. On September 22, the tourists will go for Shikara boat ride and a day-long visit to Sonmarg. On the next day, September 23, the itinerary includes visit to Nishat Bagh and Shalimar Bagh. Finally, the train will leave from Katra in Jammu on September 24.

12-day Kashmir tour package inclusions
The Kashmir tour package features train journey to Kashmir by AC class and return airline ticket via an economy flight from Delhi-Chennai, Cochin, Coimbatore, Vijayawada, Trivandrum. It also includes budget AC rooms at a hotel in Jalandhar and Amritsar for all categories of passengers as well as budget non-AC rooms at a hotel in Srinagar. AC and non-AC road transfers, sightseeing, breakfast, lunch, evening snacks and tea as well as dinner among other facilities are also a part of this special package.

Ticket cancellation policy
Passengers can cancel their ticket by logging in to their IRCTC account. By selecting the tour confirmation number to be cancelled, passengers can cancel the train ticket from the booked history. However, ticket cancellation is only possible via www.irctctourism.com and not through Passenger Reservation System (PRS) counters.
