Post snowfall, the meadows of Gulmarg serve as a paradise for those seeking adventure and thrill of downhill descents.
With its world renowned highest altitudes, Gulmarg attracts adventurers from across the globe. The landscape lays a majestic backdrop as skiers navigate the slopes. The Gulmarg Gondola, one of the highest cable cars in the world, elevates enthusiasts to heights where they can immerse into the panoramic beauty of descending snow covered altitudes.

As Kashmir valley witnessed snowfall recently , Gulmarg is abuzz with the skiing and snowboarding activities attracting adventure lovers from across the globe.
Fayaz Ahmad who runs a skiing school by the name of ‘Adventures Kashmir Ski school Club’ indulges in imparting ski training to local, national and international ski enthusiasts. According to Fayaz Gulmarg has been serving as a paradise for the national and international skiers who are captivated by the presence of the highest snow led altitudes of Gulmarg.

Renowned bollywood and showbiz celebrities such as Sara Ali Khan, Amit saadh, Bhumi Singh have learned skiing from Fayaz at his skiing school. All these ski lovers have embarked on an ecstatic journey of skiing at Gulmarg . Speaking about the current situation, Fayaz said that gradually skiers were flocking Gulmarg post snowfall.

“Due to the recent dry spell, the pre-bookings were canceled, however the ski enthusiasts are turning up in large numbers these days following recent snowfall. We expect more skiers in the coming days,” Fayaz said.

He said that Gulmarg was hosting a good number of national and international skiers skiing these days.
“In comparison to previous year the number is slightly less but we are expecting Gulmarg to have more skiers after recent snowfall. Moreover, the Khelo India games are all set to begin from February 20 which will also attract a large number of adventure loving people to Gulmarg.” Fayaz said.
To delve into the absolute skiing experience the skiers from Finland, Australia, Newzealand, Canada travel to Kashmir to immerse into the adventure of skiing at Gulmarg.

“Gumarg altitudes are higher than any foreign countries . You can’t find such altitudes anywhere in world. In our country we create artificial slopes and altitudes when it snows but here at Gulmarg the slopes are magnificently higher leaving a skier into the depth of adventure and thrill,” Chris a skier from Australia said.

The love for extreme adventure attracts foreign tourists towards skiing at Gulmarg.
Kashan Ahmad, a resident from Kolkata developed keen interest in skiing after visiting Gulmarg. He learned skiing at Gulmarg and has been involved in skiing for the past three years.
Sharing his experiences with Rising Kashmir Kashan said. “I come from the hot, humid place Kolkata, I got my ski hinge from Europe. When I was traveling in and around Switzerland,I was prompted towards this breathtaking sport. After visiting Gulmarg I realized that skiing was something missing in my life.”

He added, “My interest developed and transformed into a passion for lifetime only after visiting a magical ski haven like Gulmarg. I learned Skiing from ‘Adventures Kashmir ski club which made my skiing journey more fun and amazing . Learning skiing is food for the soul for a lifetime.”
After learning skiing from Gulmarg, Kashann has exhibited his skiing skills in Georgia, in the high slopes of Gaduari, and beautiful mountains with long ski runs. “I e finally found my solace in skiing,” he said.

As skiers carve through the trails surrounded by snow-laden trees, the crisp mountain air and the surreal silence create an unforgettable symphony of nature. Gulmarg isn’t just a skiing destination; it’s a sensory journey where the thrill of the slopes is harmonized with the serenity of the majestic mountains.

Another ski enthusiast from Ahmedabad, Vardhman Sancheti revealed, “My recent adventure trip to Kashmir Was nothing short of extraordinary. From thrilling sports activities to impeccable hospitality, every aspect of the journey surpassed my expectations.”
Adding, “The adventure sports were exhilarating and perfectly tailored to cater to all levels of enthusiasts. It boosted confidence for skiing which we were previously reluctant to go for”.
