Group of 83 male students flagged-off from Shopian for Trekking Expedition to Pahalgam

The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Shopian, Mushtaq Ahmed Simnani in presence of District Youth Services and Sports Officer (DYSSO) Shopian, Gurmukh Singh Dutta today flagged off a group of 83 male students for a trekking expedition to Pahalgam from Mini Secretariat Arhama, here.

The student trekkers from various schools of the district are scheduled to participate in the camp organised by Youth Services and Sports Shopian for a period of 5 days from 25 November, 2021 to 30 November, 2021 commencing from today and culminating on 30th November, 2021.

While interacting with the students, the ADC urged them to take advantage of the trip and strictly follow all the instructions of the trainers.

He advised the students to imbibe the qualities of leadership and initiative in life and asked them to go through the history of world famous tourist resort Pahalgam and other adjoining adventurous places.

The ADC also urged them to keep the environment neat and clean and desist from throwing polythene and other things that pollute the environment.

The ADC directed the organisers to provide enough sanitizers and other medicines to the trekkers during the camp.

The officers and other concerned officials of DYSSO were present on the occasion.
