Re-advertisement for contractual appointment in New Government Medical College Baramulla Last Date : 27-10-2020 Whereas, pursuant to Mission Director National Health Mission, J&k communication no. SHS/NHM/J&K/DNO1/8316/8325 Dated:- 19-08-2020, this office invited applications from eligible candidates of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir for two (02) posts of”Microbiologist/Research Scientist” and three (03) posts of “Lab. Technicians”vide this office advertisement no. 08 of 2020 dated:- 02-09-2020.
Whereas, the selection list was published in leading daily newspapers vide this office order no. 84/GMCB OF 2020 dated:- 23-09-2020 for wide publicity and ; Whereas, one candidate for the post of”Microbiologist/Research Scientist”namely Shahid Mudasir Baba, figuring at serial no 01 in the selection list did not join within the stipulated time period of 07 days and; Now, therefore, in order to strength the COVID-19 testing laboratory at Government Medical College Baramulla, applications are again invited from eligible candidates of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir for the below mentioned post which remained vacant due to non-joining of the candidate.

Microbiologist/ Research Scientist
Eligibility Criteria: MD/DNB Microbiology from MCI recognized Medical College/Institute or PhD Microbiology/PhD Bio Technology/M. Phil Microbiology/M. Phil Biotechnology.
(As per revised criteria) Monthly Remuneration (in Rs):Rs. 50,000/-
Eligibility: Candidates applying for the above mentioned post shall apply online at the link provided on Government Medical Baramulla website (www.gmcbaramulla.in) from 22nd to 27th October.
Terms and Conditions:- The candidates will be hired purely on contractual basis initially fora minimum period of 3-months which can be extended up to 6-months on the basis of performance and good conduct report from the Head Department of Microbiology. Candidates for the posts should not be of more than sixty (60) years of age as on the date of issuance of this advertisement notice.
The eligible candidates will be called for an interview on the basis of 1:5 ratio. In – service candidate are not eligible to apply. Preference will be given to candidates with higher qualification.
The selection criteria for the post shall be:-
50 points for MBBS/MSC(Pro rata Basis) 10 points for MD/PHD/M.PHIL
20 points for experience (5 points for each year upto maximum of 20 points)
20 points for interview.
