Girls Volleyball Tournament concludes in Anantnag

The grand finale of the Girls Volleyball Tournament, organised by District Police Anantnag under the Civic Action Programme (CAP) 2024-25, was held at Shri Ravi Jee Higher Sec-ondary School, Khanabal, Anantnag on Saturday. The tournament, aimed at promoting sportsman-ship and youth engagement, witnessed the participation of eight teams from across the district.

In a thrilling final match, Blue Club Girls Anantnag emerged victorious, while Skyline Girls Volleyball Club secured the runner-up position. The competition showcased exceptional talent, determination, and team spirit among the young athletes. The prize distribution ceremony was graced by SP Head-quarters Anantnag, Sajad Ahmad, who presented trophies and mementos to the winners and run-ners-up. He commended the efforts of all participants and emphasized the importance of sports in fostering discipline, teamwork, and a healthy lifestyle among youth. Police remain committed to promoting positive youth engagement through such initiatives, encouraging young athletes to excel in sports and contribute to community development.
