The Government Degree College (GDC) Tral lifted title of District Wushu championship in the two-day-long championship held at Indoor Stadium Rajpora, Pulwama.
As per the spokesperson, GDC Tral achieved this feat by topping the overall medal tally with 22 medals including six gold, eight silver and eight bronze medals. Green Valley School, Lassipora emerged as runners up in the event.
Around 300 participants from different Institutions participated in the two-day event organised by District Pulwama Wushu Association starting on August 01 and 02.
Ghulam Mohd Bhat, J&K Co Convener Sports Cell BJP was Special Guest on the occasion while Molvi Javaid Ahmad, General Secretary Sports cell District Shopian and Owais Ahmad, International bronze medallist (martial arts) were guests of honour at the inaugural ceremony.
