Government Degree College Kulgam organised One day Workshop on “NEP-2020: Challenges & Opportunities here in the College Conference Hall.
Principal Dr. Nazir Ahmad Simnani, who was also Chief Guest on the occasion, presented the broader contours of the NEP-2020 Policy. On the occasion he advised the participant faculty from degree colleges of district Kulgam to be ready for unveiling of NEP-2020 in the degree colleges from the next academic session. He also pointed out that the faculty of degree colleges must strive hard to be relevant in the new framework. On the occasion the invited resource person Professor Bilal Ahmad Kaloo, faculty Department of Education, South Campus UOK has delivered a substantive presentation on NEP-2020.
He presented all the netty gritty of the policy and highlighted pros and cons of the new framework emerging under NEP-2020. At the end of the presentation a comprehensive interactive session was held in which all the participants debated the challenges and opportunities brought by the New education policy. The whole program was configured and hosted by the IQAC coordinator Dr. Mohammad Younes Bhat. The program ended with the formal vote of thanks offered by Dr. Shahzada Ashraf.
