Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/ Junior Project Fellow (JPF)

Nature of duties / Project :  NMHS funded Project “Microbial Endophytes and Soil Enzymes as Indicators of Climate Resilience with Respect to Himalayan Birch: A Critically Endangered Timber Line Species” (P.I.: Dr. S. S. Samant)

Qualification :  First Class in M.Sc. with Botany/Forestry/Environmental Science

Desirable :  Preference will be given to the candidate with research experience on Biodiversity Conservation, documentation skills and computer knowledge

Junior Project Fellow/ Junior Research Fellow (JPF/JRF)

Nature of duties / Project :  Mountain division project: ‘Water quality assessment of existing water sources in the Lower Parbati Basin’ (P.I.: Dr. J.C. Kuniyal)

Nature of duties / Project :  NMHS funded Project ‘Anthropogenic impacts and their management options in different ecosystems of the Indian Himalayan Region’ (P.I.: Dr. J.C. Kuniyal)

Qualification :  Science or Computer Science Graduate from the recognized University

Desirable :  Preference will be given to the candidate having interest to work over the glaciers. Working in bilingual language (Hindi and English) in computer will be an added advantage

Age Limit : 35 years

Emoluments :  Junior Research Fellow, Rs. 25,000 + 8% HRA (NET – JRF qualified); Junior Project Fellows (Rs. 16,000/- + Rs. 1,800/- HRA or 8% HRA fixed); Project Assistant, Rs. 11,000/- fixed; Field Assistant / Data Entry Operator, Rs. 10,000/- fixed; and Field Assistant (In House Project),Rs. 10,000/- per month fixed.
