Free LPG refills to beneficiaries of PMUY in Kashmir.

Beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) will get free LPG refills in Kashmir for the next three months.The scheme was recently announced by Government of India, under this scheme free LPG refills will be provided for all the UjjwalaYojana consumers for the next three months, I;eApril 2020- 30th June 2020.

Announcement in this regard was made in separate press conferences organized by the District Nodal Officer OMC (Kupwara, Baramulla) Mohammad Idrees Wani, District Nodal Officer OMC (Srinagar) Anees Jeelani Qari and Anantnag District Nodal Officer OMC Hamid Bashir Bulbul. They said that in J&K, under PMUY scheme, so far 12.5 lakh LPG connections have been released. ‘This great achievement has been possible by the untiring efforts put in by Oil marketing Companies under the guidance of Ministry Of Petroleum and Natural Gas,” they said.

Bulbul said in the district Anantnag 123253 PMUY beneficiaries will get free refills of LPG for three months. Qari said in district Srinagar, there are  95500 PMUY beneficiaries who will be getting free refills of LPG for three months. Similarly, in Kupwara and Baramulla, Wani said there are 121550 and 129733 PMUY beneficiaries.

They said under the scheme, it has been decided to transfer the full RSP of the refill cost for April, in advance, to the linked bank account of Ujjwala beneficiaries solely for the purpose of utilising this amount to purchase the free LPG cylinders. They said a PMUY customer is entitled to one cylinder per month. “The beneficiary can book the next refill only after 15 days of receipt of the last refill. The booking of refill must be done through IVRS or registered mobile number. Refill acknowledgement can be OTP based/Lat-long capture/undertaking, besides cash-memo signature and Gas book entry,” they said.

“The Corporation’s LPG distributorships are well-stocked for the lockdown period and there is no shortage. Customers are advised not to panic, or resort to hoarding and panic-buying.LPG customers are, therefore, advised not to resort to panic-booking or visit the showrooms and godowns of their LPG distributorships for obtaining refills. They can book for LPG refills from their own homes through SMS/IVRS, WhatsApp ( IOC : 75888 88824, HP : 92222-01122),. Missed Call (BPC : 77109 55555) or online thru Umang app, HP Pay, PayTM, My HP Gas App , BBPS (for HPC) , IndianOilOne mobile app or https://cx.indianoil.in , @Paytm (For IOCL) and PayTm, PhonePay, Amazon, Bharat gas App (for BPC) for delivery of LPG refill cylinders at their doorsteps. Consumer can also book their cylinder by dailingIVRS  number from their phones (HPC-9086023456,IOC-9086024365,BPC-7718012345),” they said.
