Fourth Sub-Junior and Senior National Curling Championship 2025 Begins in Gulmarg

The Fourth Sub-Junior and Senior National Curling Championship 2025 kicked off at the picturesque ice rink in Gulmarg, attracting widespread attention from sports enthusiasts and tourists alike. The championship, organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Curling Association, will run until January 21 and has brought together around 300 players from 20 states across the country.

The event was inaugurated with great enthusiasm. Muhammad Ashraf, Secretary General of the Jammu and Kashmir Curling Association, served as the chief guest, while Muhammad Danish, Secretary General of the Curling Federation of India, was the guest of honor.

On the first day, competitive matches took place between sub-junior and junior teams from various states, showcasing promising talent in this emerging winter sport.Participants expressed gratitude to the administration for providing excellent accommodation and food facilities during their stay in Gulmarg.

Curling, a relatively new sport in India, was introduced at the ice rink in Gulmarg in 2019. Since then, players have consistently demonstrated their skills and passion for the sport. With such events, curling continues to grow in popularity and gain recognition in the country.

The championship promises intense competition over the next few days, as players vie for national honors in this prestigious event
