Four BGSBU faculty members bag JKST&IC Research grant

A total outlay of 28.13 lakh from Jammu and Kashmir Science & Technology and Innovation Council (JKST&IC), Department of Science & Technology, Government of Jammu and Kashmir under Capex budget scheme “Sponsor Research & Extension Programme” has been sanctioned in favour of four faculty members of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) Rajouri for individual research projects.

The four faculty members who have received the research grant include Dr Mohd Hanief (Assistant Professor in Department of Botany), Dr Tasleem Arif Jan (Assistant Professor in Department of Botany), Dr Manmeet Singh (Department of Information Technology Engineering) and Dr Feroz Ahmed Mir (Assistant Professor in Department of Physics).
Commenting on the achievement of the faculty members, Vice Chancellor (VC) Prof Akbar Masood said that the selection of faculty members for the research grant from JKST&IC is a recognition and reflection of the high standard of quality teaching and research done at the University. He urged faculty members to publish their research papers in reputed journals and submit more proposals for research grants from various national and international funding agencies.
