For the first time the judo martial art players of Kashmir are going to represent India in Commonwealth judo championship 2018

The experienced judo martial art players of Kashmir are going to represent Country in Commonwealth judo championship scheduled to be held in Jaipur, Rajasthan in November this year.

Shafkat Shafi and Rahil Shafi have been selected for the Commonwealth judo championship that is scheduled to be held at Jaipur Rajasthan from November 4 to 11.

The J&K Judo Association has congratulated both the senior judo players of the State for their selection.

“It is really a pride moment for not only Kashmir valley but the state of Jammu and Kashmir that the duo have been selected to compete in the Championship. It is for the first time that any judo player from the valley would be participating in this international event. We, on the behalf of Judo family of Kashmir, and Jammu and Kashmir Judo Association wish the duo best of luck,” association statement said.0
