J&K started its campaign in the Women’s Cricket Under-19 T20 League (2018-19) with a win as they defeated Mizoram by 64 runs at Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Rajkot on Sunday.
BCCI this season introduced T20 format in women’s cricket and J&K started its journey in T20 arena with a win. For J&K, Iqra Rasool shined with both bat and ball to lead her team to the win.
Batting first, J&K posted 116 runs on board for the loss of four wickets in allotted 20 overs. Iqra Rasool was the highest scorer for J&K with 37 runs off 31 balls that included five fours. Rudrakshi Chib scored 17 and Sonika 15 for J&K.
In reply, Mizoram got bundled out for 52 runs in 16 overs. Rehana Banoo took three wickets for J&K while as Iqra Rasool took two wickets. Ronaq Jahan, Arti, Kajal Bhagat and Absar ul Huda took one wicket each.
