The five-day International Workshop on OMICS technologies jointly organised by Division of Plant Biotechnology SKUAST-K and University of Padova, from 22-26 July 2024 concluded.
The valedictory function was attended by Prof Azmat Alam OSD to Vice Chancellor, Prof Antonio Masi, Prof M A Bhat, Head Plant Biotechnology and several Heads and faculty members of the university, besides the participants. Dr Sajad Majeed Zargar, Organiser of workshop gave an overview of various sessions conducted during workshop by leading national and global experts in the area of omics.
Prof. Antonio Masi expressed his satisfaction over the organisation of workshop and pointed out that student’s thorough engagements during various sessions is a reflection of the value of the workshop. Prof Azmat Alam expressed his satisfaction over conduct of such workshops that build interface between students and experts as well as open grater opportunities for new collaborations. Prof M A Bhat Thanked Prof Antonio for leading the instructional sessions during the workshop for building the theoretical foundations as well as hands on skill for various omics techniques including data analysis and interpretation. The workshop was sponsored by J&K Bank, Neuberg Diagnostics, Centre for Genomics Medicine, Ahmadabad, Genetix Biotech Pvt. Ltd. Remi and few other companies.
