The ongoing Girls’ Residential Trekking Camp organized by Department of Youth Services & Sports, Anantnag, entered its second day with even greater zeal and adventurous spirit.
The girl trekkers, full of energy and determination, were felicitated to undertake a refreshing and energetic trek to the historic Old Shikargah via Famar and the Power Grid Station route.
Under the supervision of expert trekking guides Rayees Ahmad and YSS officials, the young participants began their journey early in the morning.
The unique and scenic trail, known for its natural beauty and serene landscape, offered an enriching experience as the trekkers made their way through hills, forest patches, and panoramic viewpoints.
During the trekking route, the girls also witnessed and actively took part in various recreational and motivational activities, which added excitement and boosted their confidence.
Group games, nature-based learning tasks, fun challenges, and short team-building exercises helped enhance their physical and mental endurance while strengthening camaraderie among the participants.
The trekking team was highly appreciated for their discipline, enthusiasm, and active participation throughout the day’s schedule. The officials accompanying the group commended the girls for showcasing exceptional trekking spirit and maintaining high morale during the journey.
The Girls’ Residential Trekking Camp continues to provide the participants with valuable outdoor experiences, adventure exposure, leadership skills, and opportunities to connect with nature in a meaningful way. The camp will resume its Day 3 activities tomorrow with renewed energy and more exciting adventure engagements.
