Dr Andrabi inaugurates APJ Abdul Kalam Premier League at Pulwama

Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Premier League Cricket Tournament kick started at Dangerpora Padgampora in Pulwama on Sunday. The League is being organised by Jammu & Kashmir Development Foundation.
Dr Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, Chairperson of the J&K Waqf Board inaugurated the League in presence of the Chairman of the Foundation Bilal Parray, Superintendent of Police Awantipora Raashid Ahmad, Magistrate Awantipora Shakeel Ahmad & Assistant Commandment CRPF Vinay Kumar and others.

Numerous eminent cricket clubs & teams of J&K are participating in the League. Dr Andrabi congratulated the organisers for this league and said that it will boost the sports spirit of our talented young sports stars. “During the past few years, Khelo India mission of the Prime Minister transformed sports sector in whole of India including Jammu & Kashmir. During these years our stars have made remarkable presence at national as well as at international sports events”, said Dr Andrabi.

She said it was also inspiring to see this league being organised in the name of the great icon of modern India APJ Abdul Kalam. Dr Andrabi said that the peaceful atmosphere in J&K has boosted the sports activities in all spheres of life with new infrastructure for sports coming in at a huge pace.
She said that we have a very bright future ahead in all sports categories. Bilal Parray the organiser of the League thanked Dr Andrabi, the local administration and the participating teams for making this event a grand success.
