The District Pulwama Squash Championship 2024-25, organized by the Pulwama District Squash Rackets Association under the aegis of the J&K Squash Rackets Association, concluded on Monday with great success at the Squash Complex, Gindun Sports Centre.
The championship was held in the modern facilities of back glass squash courts with well-designed spectator areas and media galleries to ensure comprehensive coverage of the matches. The participants included students from schools and colleges across Pulwama district, competing across all categories.
The event concluded with a grand ceremony graced by Mohammad Iqbal, Incharge of Gindun Sports Centre, representing the J&K Sports Council as the Chief Guest. Guests of honor, Feroz Ahmad Bhat and Abid Ahmad Shah, along with office bearers and members of the J&K Squash Rackets Association, were also present to witness the closing ceremony.
In his address, Mohammad Iqbal congratulated the medal winners and praised the organizers for their efforts. He assured that the J&K Sports Council, under the leadership of Secretary Nuzhat Gul, will continue to provide every possible facility for the promotion and development of squash in the region.
Following the speeches, the Chief Guest distributed medals and trophies to the winners, runners-up, and third-place finishers in individual and team events.
