Director Agriculture Kashmir receives prestigious ‘IASWC Gold Medal Award-2023’

The Director of Agriculture Kashmir, Chowdhury Mohammad Iqbal has been honoured with the prestigious “IASWC Gold Medal Award-2023” for his exceptional contributions to the overall development of agriculture sector and implementation of soil and water conservation works in the UT of J&K.

The award was given to Chowdhury Mohammad Iqbal in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the overall development of agriculture in the UT of J&K.

The award presented in Dehradun by the Indian Association of Soil and Water Conservationists (IASWC) highlights Chowdhury Iqbal’s dedication and impactful efforts in the field of agriculture, and implementation of soil and water conservation works in the UT of J&K.

Director Agriculture Kashmir expressed his profound happiness and termed the award a matter of immense pride. He conveyed his deepest gratitude to Chief Secretary, Atal Dulloo and Principal Secretary Agriculture Production and Farmers Welfare Department, Shailender Kumar for their unwavering support and guidance, which have been instrumental in this accomplishment.

Chowdhury Iqbal also thanked the farming community of J&K and all the stakeholders associated with agriculture, soil and water conservation works.

Each year the Indian Association of Soil and Water Conservation (IASWC) honours individuals and organisations for their outstanding contributions to Agriculture and soil water conservation.
