DHSK felicitates women COVID warriors

Director Health Services Kashmir, Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Rather felicitated two women COVID warriors for their extraordinary and dedicated work during the ongoing pandemic.
A spokesperson of Directorate of Health Services Kashmir, said two COVID warriors namely Babli Rani, who is a government teacher and Tabasum Ara, a female multiple purpose worker (FMPHW) were felicitated.
The spokesman said Babli Rani, who is working as a government teacher, was deputed for COVID duty last year. Originally hailing from Jammu, she is posted at Wakura area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
Since deputed for COVID duty, she has performed more than 10000 corona tests in the last one year. She works with the sampling team of Block Medical Officer (BMO) Wakura, the spokesman said.
Her work has been appreciated by the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha as well.
As per the spokesman, news about her performance was aired on national as well as local media.
Similarly, Tabasum Ara is working as FMPHW in district hospital Pulwama. She has been doing vaccination work and is part of COVID surveillance team. She has done more than 7000 vaccinations and has been going to far off places for doing the surveillance work.
“She did not take even a single break. Her work has been appreciated by all including the top government officials,” the spokesman said. “She is an inspiration for health care workers.”
Both the COVID warriors were hailed and appreciated by the Director Health Services Kashmir.
The director has appreciated BMO Wakura, Dr Javid Ahmed Zargar and BMO Pulwama, Dr Irfana Gani and congratulated them for their excellent and dedicated work.
The director said all the health care workers should continue their work with added zeal and zest and whoever does good work would be appreciated.
Pertinently, the director has already instructed all the Chief Medical Officers and Block Medical Officers to boost morale of all such health care workers who are putting in a lot of hard work and efforts in tackling the COVID-19 infection spread.
