A two-minute movie titled ‘The Real Kashmir’ depicting the journey of Real Kashmir Football Club from a small beginning in Srinagar to the biggest stage of Indian football is coming soon.
The poster of the movie, jointly made by Adidas India and Real Kashmir FC was released on Monday with the new poster boy of J&K football Danish Bhat donning the cover prominently. The poster featuring Danish Bhat reads, “You have heard lot about Kashmir. It is time to see The Real Kashmir”.
The movie as per club officials is of two-minute duration, aimed at digital social media platform that highlights the story of the club from being a small time club from Kashmir that aimed big.
“It is big and it is getting real for Real Kashmir. We are about to make our dream debut in I-League against defending champions Minerva FC on Wednesday. Before the start of our journey the official poster of this short movie has come and it will work as real motivation for our players,” said a club official.
“It is 2-minute movie made jointly by our club and Adidas and focuses on the journey of the club. It highlights the journey of Real Kashmir, how it evolved from being small time and how it turned into big,” he further said.
As per the officials movie is almost ready and shooting was done in Gulmarg and Srinagar. In Srinagar, the shooting of movie was also done in Old City areas. Apart from showing all the players in side, players like Danish Bhat who hails from Seki-dafar area of Old City and Hammad from Batamaloo feature prominently.
The two-year-old Real Kashmir football club based in Srinagar, which earlier this year won the second division I-League to become the first club from J&K to qualify for the top-tier I-League, signed a deal with Adidas India recently. Adidas will be the official kit partners of Real Kashmir FC in the I-League. No other football club in Indian football, big or small, has any association with a global brand like Adidas.
About the association with Adidas, official said, “The deal that happened with Adidas, a big global brand is a momentous for Real Kashmir. Such a big brand coming to support us as official partner is an achievement in itself. No other club has Adidas as sponsor but we have got it”.
Meanwhile Real Kashmir FC squad on Monday reached Chandigarh and had their first practice session in the city. Real will be taking on Minerva Punjab FC in its first match of League on October 31.
“We reached Chandigarh directly from Srinagar by air and after landing in city we headed straight to training. The main ground was not available for practice and we held our training session at practice ground of Minerva Punjab FC and tomorrow we may be given chance to train at TAU Devi Lal Stadium,” team member said.
After playing its debut match against Minerva Punjab on Wednesday, team will head back to Srinagar to start preparation for its home debut against Churchill Brothers scheduled to be held on November 6.
