DC Kupwara flags-off 50 farmers for 3 months training

The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Imam Din today flagged-off a group of 50 farmers for training at a function organized by Chief Agriculture officer Kupwara at Agriculture Farm Halpal, Kupwara.

Speaking at the occasion, the DC exhorted the farmers to take full interest in the training programme and yield better results in agriculture farming. He said the training programme shall last for 3 months during farmers visit to different Modal Agriculture Farms and Research centers including Agriculture Faculty Wadoora.

He stressed upon farmers to enter in the agribusiness sector, adding that the purpose of this training is to develop entrepreneurship skills among them.

Chief Agriculture officer Kupwara Nazir Ahmad also spoke at the occasion and gave detailed information regarding the agri business. He said the training programme is being held under Shama Parshad Rurban Mission, Khumriyal. He said training shall be provided in vegetable cultivation on latest scientific methods, Bee keeping and Organic Farming.
