DC inaugurates Mega Job fair ‘Yuva Rozgar Manch’ at NIELIT Campus, Rangreth, Budgam..

NIELIT Srinagar organized a daylong mega job fair aimed at bridging the gap between job seekers and leading employers from various industries.

As many as 800 youths participated in the job fair while more than 10 reputed companies offering job roles of various kinds related to Information Technology provided on spot job letters among the selected applicants.

The job fair was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner (DC), Budgam, Akshay Labroo as a chief guest on the occasion. Nisar A. Wani, Director Employment, UT of J&K, Shameem Khan, Director-in-Charge NIELIT J&K were also present.

Addressing the gathering, DC appreciated the efforts of NIELIT Srinagar in organizing this Job Fair. He said that youth should also consider opportunities in entrepreneurship as it holds immense potential in providing livelihood for the youngsters.

He assured that anyone who is keen to take benefits of the self employment schemes of the Government could approach him for all required facilitation.

Labroo further highlighted that in today’s day and age, emotional intelligence and emotional quotient is crucial for our youngsters. Emotional intelligence complements technical skills, enhancing an applicant’s overall abilities increasing his/her likelihood of landing the desired job/ leading an enterprise and also multiplies one’s overall delivery and efficiency.

Director NIELIT speaking on the occasion highlighted that the Institute is committed towards empowering its students and the local youth and facilitating their journey towards a fulfilling career.

Nisar A. Wani, Director Employment, while addressing the gathering highlighted that events like the job fair hosted by NIELIT in Budgam play a crucial role in empowering our youth. They provide a platform for skill development, networking, and access to employment opportunities. Such initiatives contribute significantly to the region’s socio-economic growth.
