The Government of Jammu and Kashmir is set to launch an exclusive tourism promotional website this week to strengthen Kashmir’s travel image and outreach. A senior tourism official confirmed on Monday that all preparations for the launch have been completed.
The new platform will serve as a single-window portal for tourism promotion, bringing together all major tourism-related websites under one digital umbrella. The aim is to make information easily accessible for tourists, travel planners, and stakeholders across India and abroad.
Officials said the website’s core focus will be on promotion, highlighting Kashmir’s destinations, seasons, culture, and experiences through curated content. High-quality tourism videos will be featured, along with professional photography showcasing landscapes, festivals, adventure sports, and heritage sites.
The website will complement the release of a detailed tourism calendar planned for this week. The calendar will outline events, festivals, and seasonal activities across Kashmir, helping tourists plan visits and spreading footfall throughout the year.
To amplify the platform’s impact, the tourism department is planning a structured publicity campaign. The website will be promoted across social media, print media, and electronic media, with the campaign monitored to ensure wide outreach and consistent messaging.
In addition to digital promotion, high-visibility offline advertising is also planned. Hoardings showcasing Kashmir tourism are expected to be installed at major airports nationwide, targeting travelers at key travel hubs.
The renewed promotional push comes after Kashmir tourism faced setbacks following the Pahalgam terror attack. Officials acknowledged the impact on tourist confidence and said multiple communication channels are being leveraged to restore trust. Safety, hospitality, and readiness will remain key messages of the campaign.
The government believes that a focused and modern promotion strategy will help revive tourism momentum. Officials said the combination of the exclusive website, calendar-based planning, and national-level advertising will make Kashmir tourism more visible, organized, and vibrant in the coming months.
