With the aim to provide a platform to the students to communicate, deliberate and intermingle to nurture and showcase their flair and skills, Law Fest – 2021 was organised Sunday by Aryans College of Law, Rajpura, near Chandigarh under the theme “URJAA- Unlock Your Creative Potential.
“A statement from the college said that a series of competitions including speech competition, essay writing competition and moot court competition were organized. During the felicitation ceremony the winners and the participants were honored with medals and appreciation certificates by Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group, the statement added.
Dr Anshu Kataria while motivating and encouraging students said that such competitions specially moot court promotes and develops skills about the procedure followed by trial courts and testing the knowledge of the law and facts of students across the nation. This is an effort of providing a platform to law students so they can learn the basics of trial court which in turn open a wider learning experience, he added.
Sanskriti Rana, HOD, Aryans College of Law said that the fest aimed at engaging students in extra-curricular activities and honoring the skills of budding lawyers which would provide rostrum to exhibit their public speaking, creative adroitness, develop cogent thinking and to get an insight of real life working of the courts.
Aakanksha Rana, Swati Thakur and Daljinder Kaur, Faculty, Aryans college of Law, were also present on this occasion.In the speech competition, Chirag Shah, Simarjot Singh and Muskaan Arora along with Lovish Bali bagged 1st, 2nd and 3rd position, respectively. In the essay writing competition, Saneh Banga, Harneet Kaur and Ravina along with David Kumar stood on first, second and third position, respectively.In the moot court competition Chirag Shah won the prize for the best speaker and Aadil Goyal, Delisha Goyal and Chirag received the award for best team.
