A pregnant women in dire need of medical attention airlifted in an army chopper from Dawar Gurez near Line of Control (LOC) in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.The Gurez Valley is cut off from the rest of the Kashmir Valley in winters due to high snow levels at Razdan Pass.quired,” the statement said.
As per reports Zytoona Begum, a resident of Satni Village located close to LOC was struck at Dawar Gurez hospital for want of specialised treatment which the hospital lacked.The patient as per reports was low on haemoglobin and doctors had advised surgery which could not be conducted at Dawar hospital.
Following a request from the local administration, soldiers of Snow Leopard Brigade activated the Gurez Helipad and the woman was airlifted. The woman is at present undergoing treatment at Lal Ded Hospital Srinagar.
