Anantnag District Tennis Ball Cricket Championship concludes with exciting matches

The District Tennis Ball Cricket Championship came to a thrilling end at the BHSS ground in Bijbehara, Anantnag. The championship, featuring more than 40 teams across various categories, witnessed intense competition and showcased the talent of young cricketers from the region.
In the Junior Boys category, Green Land Chandpora emerged as the winners, displaying exceptional skills and teamwork. They were closely followed by the impressive KGI Khanabal team, who secured the runners-up position. The Junior Girls category witnessed an equally spirited performance, with Future Stars Sakhras claiming the championship title, while WhizKids Batangoo finished as the runners-up.
In the Senior Boys category, Shining Star Kanjigund showcased their dominance on the field and clinched the top spot. The runners-up position was earned by the formidable Rising Star Bijbehara team. In the Senior Girls category, Anantnag XI emerged victorious, displaying remarkable talent and determination. Anantnag Adventures put up a commendable fight and secured the runners-up position.
The final presentation ceremony of the championship was graced by Tehsildar Bijbehara, Gh. Rasool Bhat, who served as the chief guest. Also present was Mrs. Nasreena Akhter, Principal of Government Higher Secondary School Boys in Bijbehara. They both awarded the trophies to the deserving winners and runners-up, acknowledging their hard work and dedication throughout the tournament.
The District Tennisball Cricket Association Anantnag organized the championship, with the support of the J&K Sports Council, who sponsored the event. The tournament provided a platform for the talented cricketers in the district to showcase their skills, compete at a higher level, and gain valuable experience.
