The District Hospital (DH) Kulgam has received the Best Performing Award at the UT for exemplary performance under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY)/Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana SEHAT (AB PM-JAY SEHAT).
The award was presented to Dr Gulzar Ahmad, Medical Superintendent (MS) of DH Kulgam, on Republic Day in Srinagar by Advisor to Lieutenant Governor (LG), Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar.
Speaking with Rising Kashmir, Dr Gulzar said it is a proud moment for the District Hospital Kulgam as the sincere work has been recognized at the highest level. “The award will go a long way in boosting the morale of the entire hospital team to work with more dedication,” he said.
Dr Gulzar added, “We are always striving hard to ensure we provide quality health care to the public. The LG administration is ensuring that people receive the best possible health care services at peripheral hospitals.”
The awards were distributed after the National Health Authority (NHA) had requested the State/UTs to distribute appreciation certificates to empanelled hospitals under AB PMJAY on Republic Day.
Based on performance under AB PM-JAY and the attainment of AB PM-JAY Quality Certification (Gold/Silver/Bronze), the State Health Agency J&K shortlisted three hospitals for the UT-level best-performing empanelled hospitals (Public & Private).
The three hospitals that received certificates of appreciation are MMABM Hospital, Anantnag; DH Kulgam, and CHC Mendhar.
