At the Tender Age of 23, A Vision Takes Shape: The tale of Musaddiq’s journey began in 2016, a turning point that ignited a fire within him. Witnessing an immensely talented young singer from his community facing barriers due to a lack of opportunities, Musaddiq’s empathetic heart stirred.
The encounter triggered a deep realization – there were countless hidden gems among the youth of Pulwama, particularly those from modest backgrounds, yearning for a chance to shine.
A Mission to Uncover Hidden Gems: This realization sparked Musaddiq’s mission – to create platforms for the burgeoning talents of his region. He embarked on an extensive survey across Pulwama, uncovering writers, poets, artists, singers, and sports enthusiasts who were awaiting an opportunity to showcase their skills.
“Kunui Alaw” Program: Shining a Spotlight on Hidden Talents: In 2019, Musaddiq’s tireless efforts bore fruit as he launched the “kunui alaw” program, translating to “collective call” in the local dialect. The program’s inaugural event took place at Pulwama degree college, where over 100 young talents dazzled the audience with their creative prowess. This platform not only brought recognition to these individuals but also earned them the respect they rightfully deserved.
Beyond Limits: The First-Ever Rap Battle in South Kashmir: Dissatisfied with resting on his laurels, Musaddiq went further. He organized the first-ever rap battle in South Kashmir, a ground-breaking event that spotlighted emerging rappers and encouraged others to explore their artistic inclinations.
A Mentor and More: Bridging Aspirations and Administrative Support: Musaddiq’s passion stretched beyond event organization; he stepped into the role of a mentor. He bridged the gap between aspiring talents and the administrative support needed to realize their dreams.
“Jashne Nawjawaan”: Fostering Patriotism and Civic Responsibility: One of Musaddiq’s notable achievements was the “Jashne Nawjawaan” mega event, drawing participation from around 4000 young individuals. The event aimed to instill a sense of patriotism and civic responsibility among the youth, urging them to positively impact their nation’s development.
A Philanthropic Force: Reaching Out to the Needy: Musaddiq’s philanthropic efforts were far-reaching. He engaged with drug addicts, providing counselling that led to two individuals breaking free from addiction’s grip. He established a blood donors group, offering around 500 pints of blood to those in need. During the COVID-19 lockdown, he provided meals to 400 labourers from his own home. His benevolence extended to distributing 1375 ration kits and launching “Education for All,” ensuring 1200 students had essential study supplies.
Asia Youth International Model United Nations Conference: Last October, Musadiq Reyaz represented his country at the Asia Youth International Model United Nations Conference held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The conference brought together delegates from 32 countries, fostering cooperation and collaborations aimed at pursuing global peace. Musadiq’s active participation showcased his dedication to understanding and contributing to the international discourse on crucial issues.
Upcoming Indian Democracy Festival in New Delhi: Stepping onto a national platform, Musadiq Reyaz is set to attend a two-day Indian Democracy Festival in New Delhi. This high-profile event is scheduled to feature prominent politicians from various national and regional political parties. Musadiq’s presence at the festival underscores his commitment to engaging with the political landscape and contributing to the democratic dialogue that shapes the nation’s future.
First Youth from this Southern district to Attend National Gandhian Leadership Camp: Adding to his impressive list of accomplishments, Musaddiq Reyaz has been selected for the National Gandhian Leadership Camp organized by the Gandhi Research Foundation at Jalgaon, Maharashtra. His selection marks a historic milestone as the first youth from the southern district to participate in this prestigious camp. This recognition not only acknowledges Musaddiq’s dedication to Gandhian values but also positions him as a role model for his community.
Honoured for Dedication: A Legacy Cemented: For his exceptional commitment, the district administration honoured Musaddiq Reyaz on India’s 74th, 75th, and 77th Independence Days, recognizing his efforts in making a tangible difference in the community.
