NIT Srinagar has improved its position in the India Today rankings 2026, securing 19th rank among the top technical universities in India, up from 22nd in 2025.The institute attributed the three-position rise to the collective efforts of its faculty, students, researchers, staff, alumni and other stakeholders.
Director Prof Anurag Misra congratulated the institute fraternity, saying the achievement reflected its continued focus on academic excellence, research, innovation and institutional development.
