SKUAST-K hosts interactive session on global career opportunities in Veterinary Clinical Sciences

Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K) organised an interactive counselling session on global career opportunities in veterinary clinical sciences at the Faculty Outreach Centre, Shuhama.The session, titled “Veterinary Clinical Sciences: Global Pathways and Career Growth”, was jointly organised by the Division of Animal Reproduction, Gynaecology & Obstetrics and the Division of Veterinary & Animal Husbandry Extension, Faculty of Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry (FVSc & AH), on June 30.

The keynote speaker, Dr Firdous Ahmad Khan, Professor and Associate Dean (Research) at St George’s University, Grenada, West Indies, and an alumnus of SKUAST-K, delivered an insightful address before a packed audience of faculty members, postgraduate scholars and undergraduate students.

Dr Firdous Ahmad Khan highlighted emerging global opportunities in veterinary clinical sciences, with a focus on international higher education, research collaborations, advanced clinical practice, innovation, and evolving career pathways for veterinary graduates. He also underscored the rapidly transforming landscape of veterinary education, emphasising modern pedagogical approaches, problem-based learning, evidence-based clinical practice, and the integration of emerging technologies in veterinary training.
