Anti-Narcotics Drive Intensifies As Police Attach Assets In Shopian

 Police in south Kashmir’s Shopian district have attached immovable property worth Rs 10,07,300 allegedly acquired through proceeds of drug trafficking, officials said on TuesdayAccording to police, the property measuring 14 marlas belongs to Arshid Ahmad Dar, son of Ab Rehman Dar, a resident of Nadender Trenz in Imamsahib area. 

Authorities said the asset was identified as having been generated from the illegal trade of narcotics and was attached in connection with FIR No. 34/2023 registered at Police Station Imamsahib.

Officials said the attachment proceedings were carried out in the presence of a police team, an executive magistrate, a lambardar and a chowkidar, in compliance with legal procedures.Police said the action is part of an ongoing drive against narcotics networks in the region, targeting both individuals involved in drug trafficking and assets allegedly derived from such activities.
