Bareena Shines with Bronze at Youth National Boxing Championship

Bareena of Jammu and Kashmir clinched a bronze medal in the 8th Youth Women National Boxing Championship held at Guwahati, Assam.
Bareena put up a commendable performance in the tournament, registering victories over strong opponents from Punjab and Himachal Pradesh to secure a place on the podium. With this achievement, she becomes one of the promising young boxers from the Union Territory.
Earlier, she had won a bronze medal in the Sub-Junior National Boxing Championship in 2022 and followed it up with a silver medal in the Junior National Boxing Championship held at Rohtak in 2024.
The J&K Amateur Boxing Association congratulated the boxer for her achievement. Former President of J&K Olympic Association Prof. (Dr) Ashutosh Sharma, JKABA President Dr Nirmolak Singh and Honorary General Secretary Rajan Sharma lauded her performance and wished her success in future competitions.
Bareena is being trained under coach Farook Ahmad Khan. Expectations are high from the talented pugilist for upcoming events.
