LG Sinha Unveils Renovated Amira Kadal, Reviving Srinagar’s Cultural and Commercial Hub

Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday inaugurated revamped Amira Kadal bridge over the Jhelum river here, officials said.

They said the bridge has been redesigned exclusively for pedestrian use under the Srinagar Smart City project to enhance safe and seamless connectivity between Lal Chowk and adjoining commercial areas.

Officials said the redevelopment also integrates heritage elements as part of the broader riverfront development initiative aimed at improving urban infrastructure while preserving the city’s cultural character.

The lieutenant governor was accompanied by Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Anshul Garg, senior officials from the police and civil administration, and the MLA from Lal Chowk during the inauguration
