In a proud moment for Jammu and Kashmir, as Zubair Ahmad, snowboard alpine skier from Tangmarg of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district, is all set to represent India at the prestigious FIS Snowboard Alpine World Cup in China.
Zubair will compete against the world’s top 100 snowboard alpine athletes, marking his first-ever appearance at the World Cup level as selection is a testament to his dedication, technical skill, aspiring athletes across Jammu and Kashmir.
Sports officials, local representatives, and residents of Tangmarg have congratulated Zubair on his achievement and expressed hope that his performance on the global stage will open new doors for winter sports athletes from the region.
