The District Youth Services and Sports Office Anantnag today successfully flagged off a Residential Trekking Camp for Girls, featuring 88 enthusiastic female trekkers accompanied by a dedicated team of female staff members. The group embarked on their journey from Sports Stadium Anantnag to the renowned tourist destination Pahalgam.
The flag-off ceremony was marked with excitement and motivation as the participants prepared for the multi-day trekking experience designed to promote adventure sports, physical fitness and nature-based learning among young girls.
To ensure the highest standards of safety, guidance, and learning, the services of expert trekkers will be utilised throughout the camp. These professionals will supervise the trekking routes, conduct skill-based sessions, and assist participants in understanding trekking techniques, environmental care, and responsible adventure practices.
Covering scenic trails leading to Pahalgam, the trekkers will experience the breathtaking beauty of the region under the supervision of qualified instructors, expert trekkers, and support staff ensuring safety and smooth execution of the programme.
