22nd Edition of Senior National Soft Tennis Championship Begins in kashmir

The 22nd Senior National Soft Tennis Championship 2025 was inaugurated with an impressive ceremony at the Sher-i-Kashmir Indoor Sports Complex


The championship, organized by the J&K Amateur Soft Tennis Association in collaboration with the J&K Sports Council, has drawn players and coaches from over 25 States and Union Territories.


Advocate Saif-ud-Din Bhat, MLA Khansahib, presided as the chief guest, while Raju Parmar, former Member of Parliament and Advisor to the Amateur Soft Tennis Federation of India (ASTFI), graced the occasion as guest of honour.


The event opened with a March Past by participating teams, a vibrant J&K Police Band performance and a cultural programme reflecting the region’s heritage. In his address, Adv. Bhat lauded the organizers for their professional conduct and urged players to uphold sportsmanship. Raju Parmar appreciated the association’s efforts in promoting the sport nationwide. Other dignitaries included Shakuntala J. Khodadhra, Raja Ghulam Nabi Wani, Shakir Ashraf and Narinder Pal Singh, who delivered the vote of thanks.
