The J&K UT Soft Tennis Championship 2025 commenced with great enthusiasm at Gindun Stadium, Rajbagh, here today. Organized by the J&K Soft Tennis Association in collaboration with the J&K Sports Council, the championship has attracted over 400 players from various districts, reflecting the growing interest in the sport across the Union Territory.
The event was inaugurated by Mubarak Gul, MLA Eidgah and former Speaker of the J&K Legislative Assembly, who attended as the chief guest. He was joined by Raja Ghulam Nabi Wani, Chairman of the Association; Shakir Ashraf, General Secretary; and other prominent sports officials. In his address, Mubarak Gul emphasized the importance of sports in youth development and community engagement.
Chairman Wani reaffirmed his commitment to promoting soft tennis through structured training, while General Secretary Ashraf highlighted the association’s efforts toward holistic sports development. The championship will continue for several days, featuring matches in multiple age groups and categories at the Gindun Stadium.
