Azim Parveez Makes Mark for Kashmir in SAFF Cup 2025 Debut

In a proud moment for Jammu & Kashmir, Azim Parveez, a rising footballer from Downtown Heroes FC, made a stellar international debut with the India U-17 National Football Team at the SAFF U-17 Championship 2025 in Sri Lanka, scoring a goal in his very first match.

Azim’s football journey began at Downtown Heroes FC, where his raw talent, discipline and dedication stood out early. His progress through the club’s youth ranks earned him a place in the Kashmir Super League, representing New JK United FC, where he further developed his skills and impressed selectors.

Praising Azim’s achievement, Head Coaches Hilal Rasool Parray and Ajaz Ahmad described him as a “gifted player with immense potential,” noting that his dedication and hard work could take him far in professional football.

Downtown Heroes FC chairman Irfan Shahmiri congratulated Azim on his historic debut, calling it “a remarkable milestone” and “a proud moment for the entire community.”
