J&K Sub Jr Taekwondo team flagged off for National C’ship

The J&K Sub Junior Taekwondo Team was flagged off today for the 38th National Sub Junior Kyorugi and 13th National Sub Junior Poomsae Taekwondo Championships 2024. The event will be held from November 29 to December 1, 2024, at the Tau Devi Lal Stadium, Panchkula, Haryana.
The screening and flag-off ceremony took place at MA Stadium,  Jammu, in the presence of Baljinder Pal Singh, Divisional Sports Officer, Jammu (JKSC), and Krupali Singh, Manager of MA Stadium. The team had undergone an intensive Pre-Participation Coaching Camp organized by the J&K Sports Council, which took place from November 18 to 27, 2024, under the supervision of Atul Pangotra.

The flag-off ceremony was graced by Ramesh Chander Sharma, General Secretary of the J&K Taekwondo Association (JKTA), and Chandeep Singh, an international Taekwondo athlete, who offered their encouragement and best wishes to the players.
The selected players include Ameer Ahmad Dar (Under 21 kg), Divyaansh Khametra (Under 23 kg), Nahil Farooq (Under 25 kg), Mohammad Ibrahim Mengnoo (Under 27 kg), Samrat Singh (Under 29 kg), Ayaan Sharma (Under 32 kg), Aflaq Ahmad (Under 35 kg), Toufeeq Firdous (Under 38 kg), Nazer Parvaiz (Under 41 kg), Abrar Ashraf (Under 44 kg), Arman Ali (Under 50 kg), Umer Qadir (Over 50 kg), Rehaan Gupta (Individual Poomsae), Ayaan Sharma (Pair Poomsae), Naeil Ud Din (Boys Team Poomsae), Zaid Ibn Aamir (Boys Team Poomsae), and Mrigesh Spolia (Boys Team Poomsae) from the Sub Junior Boys category. From the Sub Junior Girls category, the selected players are Aayat Rouf (Under 20 kg), Anika Aijaz (Under 24 kg), Kritika Raina (Under 26 kg), Sana Chouhan (Under 29 kg), Ruksana Akther (Under 32 kg), Sudhanya Sharma (Under 35 kg), Palak Sanmotra (Under 38 kg), Aleena Hassan (Under 41 kg), Ayesha Binti Aamir (Under 47 kg), Sukriti Sharma (Over 47 kg), Ritambra Sharma (Individual Poomsae), and Nittya Nand Vardhayni (Pair Poomsae). The team will be led by coaches Burhan Ud Din Khan (Kyorugi Boys), Shah Faisal (Kyorugi Girls), and Mohsin Ali (Poomsae Team), with managers Siddharth Sharma (Kyorugi Team) and Shanaz Parveen (Poomsae Team).
