The 29th District Srinagar Billiards and Snooker Championship kicked off today at Bakshi Stadium, Srinagar, with a series of exciting matches in the sub-junior snooker category. The tournament was inaugurated by Mushtaq Zargar, who wished the participants success in their matches.
On the opening day, several matches took place, with notable performances from young players. Daim Syed defeated Mohsin Jalali by 62-45, 59-52; Fuzail Bhat triumphed over Sheikh Rizwan by 72-57, 61-56; Mustaqeem Hussain emerged victorious against Arsalan Mir by 55-12, 52-49, 47-41; and Moazam Iqbal beat Mutahir Mir by 73-65, 56-62, 56-06.
The championship will continue over the next few days, showcasing the growing talent in the region’s billiards and snooker community. The event was held under the supervision of Umer Himayum, Vice president J&K Billiards and Snooker Association.
