The Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) Anantnag on Wednesday inaugurated the UT level Inter-District cricket tournament across four venues in the district.
The tournament was formally inaugurated at Qazigund by Tehsildar Showkat Hussain Rather alongside DYSSO Anantnag Raja Yaqoob. In Bijbehara, Principal BHSS Nasreena Akhter opened the event.
The opening day saw Under-14 boys competing in matches held at Qazigund, Bijbehara, Dooru, and Arwani, showcasing growing local talent. The tournament, featuring Under-14, Under-17, and Under-19 categories, will conclude on August 30.
